It’s been a pleasure making this short video for Warp and Weft composed by Colin Riley. Warp and Weft is a double cello concerto for Gabriella Swallow and Guy Johnston, premiered in Manchester Cathedral with the Manchester Camerata conducted by Gábor Takács-Nagy.

I’ve just completed this short film for Colin Riley, a London based composer. Colin’s new work ‘Songs of Coiled Light’ makes use of multi-sensory elements to provide a different kind of listening experience based on his research into hearing impairment. Featuring bass clarinetist Gareth Davis and live electronics designer Carl Faia it was filmed during a residency and several live performances taking place as part of the SoundFestival in Aberdeen.

I was recently selected for the following artists’ filmmaking workshop.

Screen-Shot-2014-09-14-at-11.29.26

Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and funding from the Mohamed S. Farsi Foundation, The London Film School presents a 10-day intensive artists’ filmmaking workshop, led by the celebrated artist filmmakers Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard (20,000 Days on Earth).

Up to 12 participants will be recruited through a competitive application process. The selection panel includes representatives from the arts and film sectors. The selection panel will be looking for candidates who can bring knowledge of artists’ work in the moving image and creative skills to the workshop process.
